Сказаний разных, множество легенд
Хранится в памяти у жителей болот,
Но есть поистине взрывной контент
О древней рыбе - Маре, что на дне живёт.

Туземцы в страхе коротают дни,
С заходом солнца - двери вовсе на замок
В домах не зажигаются огни,
На всякий случай, чтоб никто не уволок.

В ночи же тёмной выползает Марь,
Чтобы посеять ужаса смятение
И тот, кто не боится эту тварь
Не празднует отныне дни рождения.

Но как всегда - нет худа без добра
И здесь найдётся разудалый паренёк
Развеет быль, как пепел от костра,
Хотя и в грогги был, по-русски значит "шок"!

From now on, he does not celebrate birthdays.

But as always, there is no silver lining
And there's a wild boy here.
It will scatter the dust like ashes from a bonfire,
Although I was in groggy, in Russian it means "shock"!
